Here’s all the details on the protection provided by the insurance offered in the You’re Covered Program:

1. Appliance Breakdowns Insurance

This insurance provides protection for 1 year from the high cost of repairs due to unexpected breakdowns to major appliances during the listing period, commencing 15 days after enrolment. This coverage is transferable to the home buyers at closing.

Appliance Breakdown Insurance Coverage Up to $15,000** (Combined with Home Systems Breakdown Insurance) – 1 Year of Total Protection

• Refrigerator/Freezer
• Range/Oven/Cooktop (Gas or Electric)
• Built-In Microwave Oven
• Dishwasher
• Clothes Washer
• Clothes Dryer
• Sump Pump
• Garage Door Opener
• Garbage Disposal
• Trash Compactor


2. Home Systems Breakdown Insurance

Home Systems Breakdown Insurance* paid for by The Walsh and Volk Team, provides protection for 1 year from the high cost of repairs due to unexpected breakdowns to home systems during the listing period, commencing 15 days after enrollment. This coverage is transferable to the home buyers at closing.

Home Systems Breakdown Insurance Coverage Up to $15,000**(Combined with Major Appliance Breakdown Insurance) – 1 Year of Total Protection

• Central Heating System/Built-in Wall Unit
• Ductwork
• Central Air Conditioning/Heat Pump
• Interior Plumbing
• Interior Electrical
• Owned Water Heater

3. Additional Liability Insurance

As a sales representative with Re/Max Escarpment Realty Inc., Brokerage. We are covered under an Agent and Brokers Commercial Liability Insurance program.

What does this insurance program mean to our clients?

Bodily Injury Claims related to my activities as a real estate agent. Covered claims will include open houses and property showings in connection with the sales activity and listing held by Re/max Escarpment Realty Inc., Brokerage.*

Property Damage claims related to our activities as a Real Estate Agent. Covered claims will include prospective properties, property showing in connection with the sales activity and listings.*

Property Damage to Real Property under my car will include damage to homes which are being show in connection with an open house, showings, etc*

You can be confident in the fact in being covered by this Insurance, we’ve got you and your property covered as well.

4. Home Closing Insurance

If your transaction is delayed or cancelled:

Whether you are buying or selling a property, certain unforeseen situations may occur, such as:

• Withdrawal of financing
• Job loss
• Separation
• Fire
• Surveying problem

Such occurrences may delay and even cancel the transfer of title.  Home Closing insurance provides you with coverage for irrecoverable extra costs resulting from unforeseen delays or failures in your home closing. You will be provided with up to $25,000 in coverage for up to 180 days from the original closing date.

Below are some examples of extra costs which may arise:

  • Legal Fees
  • Moving and Storage
  • Temporary Accommodations
  • Living Expenses
  • Bank Charges and Interest
  • Mortgage and Interest Payments

Home Sellers are especially vulnerable when buyers are unable to close. There are many ongoing extra costs to maintain a home that has failed to close, that can come into play when you have already purchased another home:

  • Gas
  • Hydro
  • Taxes
  • Insurance
  • Interest on Bridge/Blanket Mortgages

6. Use Of Our Moving Truck

No Insurance Cost! No Rental Fee!

The Walsh and Volk Team  have a privately owned 16 foot Truck and it has nothing to do with RE/MAX, it’s ours!  We offer the Free use of this truck to our clients when they Buy or Sell a home with the Walsh and Volk Team.

We consider you, our client, long after you’ve moved in. As a client you have the opportunity to  use the truck for personal errands. We don’t mind! As long as it is available. It is one more way we provide on going service to you and say “Thank you for your loyalty and referrals.” At Walsh & Volk we  always appreciate your business.

Naturally Some Conditions Apply:

  • Valid Drivers License
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Walsh and Volk are not responsible for traffic violations or ETR bills
  • No travel outside Canada
  • Upon Availability (not guaranteed)
  • Drive Responsibly
  • Must replace any gas you use at your own cost
